Manual stocktakes vs Previo: what actually changes

A weekly stocktake usually means walking the storeroom with a clipboard, counting everything by hand, then typing it all into a spreadsheet before you can even think about what to order. It is slow, and the numbers are already out of date the moment you finish. Here is what changes once Previo takes over.
How it works
Stock levels update as sales happen
When Square records a sale, Previo quietly reduces the matching ingredient in your inventory. There is no separate counting step for items sold through the till.
Deliveries are logged in seconds
When stock arrives, you tap it in as received. Previo adds it to your levels straight away instead of waiting for the next full count.
Low stock is flagged before you run out
Items get a red, amber, or green indicator so you can see at a glance what needs ordering, instead of scanning a whole spreadsheet.
A cafe doing a full manual stocktake once a week can easily spend two to three hours on it. With Previo tracking stock as it moves, that time gets spent on customers and staff instead of a clipboard.
You can still do a physical count any time you want to double check, but you no longer need one just to know what to order. Previo keeps the numbers current for you, every day.
